The Henshaw home was eloquently dubbed the “muffin top” home for its rounded eaves and large roof top. With a growing family, the house didn’t fit their needs and the muffin top had become stale. The massive undertaking was started in January, which only added to the complexity of the project but there was a deadline to make. Structural upgrades were made throughout to support the second story addition that transformed the home into a Dutch colonial style. Almost no part of the house was left untouched. Cascade’s craftsmanship mark and creativity is evident throughout, down to the hidden space behind the bookcase, every little boy’s dream. High-end finishes give this gorgeous “old” home everything people look for in a new custom-built house to meet today’s lifestyle.
